World Earth Day
BNHS-ENVIS had celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Earth Day on 23rd April 2020 by conducting a webinar on "Introduction to Climate Change". The topic of the webinar was in accordance to this year's theme i.e. 'Climate Action'. Ms. Sushmita Karmakar (Information Officer, BNHS-ENVIS) assisted by the BNHS-ENVIS team had successfully conducted this webinar.
Around 130 participants had registered for the event. The participants were introduced to the basic aspects of the globally changing climate and its impact on biodiversity. They were also guided regarding the human contributions to global warming effect and the various mitigation and adaptation strategies for the same. Post webinar, various queries from the participants were acknowledged.
