BNHS-ENVIS centre celebrated World Wetland Day with students of S.N.D.T College, churchgate on 2nd February 2018. The Event was conducted at Conservation Education Centre (CEC) of BNHS at Goregaon. The event started with a short nature trail in Sanjay Gandhi National Park conducted by CEC. The trail was followed by a presentation by Mr. Sagar Satpute, Programme Officer, ENVIS. The presentation has brief about the importance of Wetland and Mangrove ecosystem, rich floral and faunal diversity of wetlands as well as the treats and the conservation initiative for conserving these ecosystems. The presentation ended with a small documentary on Chilika wetland provided by Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
